The February Carolina Champion, recognized by WACH FOX, is the founder of a Columbia-based nonprofit, G.O.A.T., which stands for Give Of All Things.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — By day, Latrviyet Walker serves her country in uniform. By night and on weekends, she serves her community.
Walker is the founder of G.O.A.T., a Columbia-based nonprofit whose name stands for Give Of All Things. Founded in 2024, the organization focuses not only on providing essentials to people in need, but on doing so with dignity.
“Just because somebody is in need doesn’t mean you should just give them what you think they should have,” Walker said. “Everything we give is new. Everybody still wants to feel like they have value, that they matter, and that they’re being treated with dignity.”
G.O.A.T. has quickly made an impact across the Midlands through several initiatives aimed at supporting children and families. One of its signature programs, Cool for School, provides students with brand-new clothing and shoes ahead of the school year — something Walker says is critical for confidence and success in the classroom…
